Through our “Writing Can Be Fun!” Project our students tried to learn types of writing
• Narrative Writing,
• Persuasive Writing,
• Expository Writing,
• Descriptive Writing.
And they tried to produce their collaborative, original pieces of writings for each.
We shared our writings for “Narrative, Persuasive and Expository Writings” before. Here you will read our students’ Acrostic Poem as an example for the task of Descriptive Writing.
While writing the poem first they thought about the activities they did, they read their friends lines written before them and wrote their lines. As we did on the other tasks we used an interactive Web.2.0 Tool. (We used a different interactive Web.2.0 tool for each activity. This time we chose to use ZUMpad). Students wrote the poem in harmony with their friends, they were able to work on the poem at the same time.
As teachers we are proud of our stdents and their poem. We hope you feel the same.
